There is also free hepatitis A / B vaccines, free condoms and free STD testing all around this city starting with the Health Department. There is also free or low cost STD treatment usually at the same place you get tested and anyone who test positive for HIV is automatically given free health care.

That said, the most risky sex (in terms of contracting HIV) is anal sex with or without a condom. Also with anal play that's a good way to contract hepatitis A if you're not vaccinated for it.

It seems a guy can notice the symptoms long before a female can. Then with a girl bouncing from car to car to alley to ten dollar rooms its no wonder it's not a lot worse. I believe it's the whispered epidemic of the strip. MHO. We have all seen a girl get out of one car and minutes later bounce into another car to do the same acts she's been doing all day. I think part of the problem is that the actual risks are not well defined, or communicated. You can google and see that it's POSSIBLE to catch some things via BBBJ, but it doesn't actually give percentages, or risk profiles. I sort of assumed it was theoretically possible, though extraordinarily rare, after speaking to my doctor.

Anyway. I mongered occasionally before marriage and really enjoyed it. I stopped during marriage and relationships. Following marriage separation, I started doing it a lot more often. Once a week, sometimes more. After starting to date someone new, I continued. About 3 months ago, she complained about some issues. A google search suggested her symptoms could be STD / drip (online anything can be anything), and I panicked. I might have infected her. It could end my relationship. Etc. I swore to myself that I wouldn't be hitting the ave again.

It turned out to be nothing to do with me, but that scare has also kept me away. I almost feel like there was an element of addiction / compulsion to what I was doing. This story has confirmed my decision.
