I always bring a cover with me and I always take it with me when I leave. Just also have a pair of paper towels with you. They can be neatly wrapped in your front shirt pocket. If you finish in the bag, so to speak, then carefully wrap it up in the paper towels and take it with you. I usually stop for a soda or snack or both on the way home and just drop it discretely and anonymously in a garbage can.
