Thank you. I wish I could say I felt smart at the time but it was quite the contrary. I knew I was over a barrel and that it was better to get out of there asap despite believing that these guys didn't have the look of hardcore ass-kickers and that under different circumstances I would have been able to resolve the situation more to my liking. Finally, it is good to have connections as I did contact someone I know who has some pull / contacts in this town to tell him what had happend to "a friend of mine" and I called-in a favor. As it turns out, those apartments get a fair share of their $ from the state and fed goverment. Subsidies for low income tenants. The last thing they want to do is lose that funding. So. After getting evicted for engaging in the kind of conduct described in my original post she will find it quite difficult (I. E. Impossible) to again secure subsidized housing in this state.
