I'm getting confused who is actually staying around. I've seen Tara, KK, Nikki, Nalee and Vandara. After that I'm a bit unsure. I've seen names that seem familiar from the past occasionally repeated, but I guess since I didn't partake, I lost track of the names. Anyone want to add to that list of Thais who seem stable, provide a high quality massage, don't have GPS and are looking for repeat business?

Of the top of my head, in addition to your list, the local regulars include:

Mint, Amy, Anna, Apple in Tysons & McLean.

Luna, Jewel (aka Bena), and Pinky in Annandale. Pinky's most recent ad says she's in Fairfax. Not sure if that's a temporary or permanent move.

Sophie, Candy (not the newer one), and Alexa (aka Karen) in Fair Oaks.

Dara, Donut, and Veena in Reston.

I left out a few because even some of the locals are not immune to GPS. Some of those I wouldn't recommend include Alice, Nadia, and Laila. I also left out some others in the Reston & Herndon areas because I haven't seen them and also don't know exactly who is local and who is visiting. I also didn't include Lucy and Jen because I'm not sure if they plan to stay in VA or are simply visiting longer than most. Other categories I didn't include are non-Thai FBSM providers, of which there are several, as well as some of the excellent AMP options.

Feel free to add to the list and, since YMMV always applies, not every monger will be a fan of every provider. But the general point about local vs visitor is still valid. Namely that local providers tend to have more incentive to provide good value and cultivate regular client relationships whereas visitors tend to have more incentive to go for max cash. IME, pretty much every one of the listed locals will give a decent massage and HJ for 120 per hr. While other menu options will vary, the local price will almost always be more reasonable than the visitor price.

Never seen her, knew she worked with Vivian. Leah rates FS hope you didn't get hurt in pockets too. Vivian always been overpriced for a rub and tug with not much play. One Spanish girl they had was nice and adventurous. Think they cut her off for getting all the attention. Vivian does that, always want you in doubles with those types so they won't go off script.

Welcome to the club in which Frankie D (with Minnie) and I (with Mayya) are charter members. Here's my take on the visiting Thai provider phenomenon:

They hear through the Thai grapevine (which spans the globe) that there's good money to be made in the DMV, and more specifically in Northern Virginia.

Mostly amateurs or part-timers, they come to stay for a few weeks and work with the local providers who invited them to the area.

Their sole mission is to make as much cash as possible before heading home. They have little or no incentive to cultivate regular clients.

They talk amongst themselves to try to figure out the maximum amount of money they can get out of clients. And, especially for the attractive ones, their asking price for any level of service is much higher than what most local providers charge.

The level of massage skill is all over the place. Some are legit masseuses back in their home state (or country) while others are clueless.

FWIW, I'm taking a pass on any of the visiting Thais because I simply don't see the value proposition. I enjoy the perks of being a regular and that's not an option with these women. I also enjoy having good chemistry during a session and that's near impossible when the provider is 90% focused on the $ aspect of things. The visitors tend to upsell and negotiate more, which is a total buzzkill for me.

While some of them are awesomely attractive, and while the lure of finding a gem is strong, the downsides are just too much, IMHO. Much better value to be had by shopping local.

120 for the hour and I usually tip her three or four Lin Manuel Miranda's for a creative flip in the nude. She's been open to ted banging and a few other creative things, but as always, YMMV.

When I walk into an AMP and the MMS takes me to the room, I will tell her (before I hand over the house fee) that I'd like to meet my masseuse first. Of course she'll resist because she wants to give me the girl of her choice, not mine. When that happens I tell her "No problem. I understand if you're busy and can't introduce me first. I will try to come back another time when it's not so busy. ".

At that point MMS usually changes her mind, puts me back in the room, and brings the masseuse to meet me. If she's acceptable, I'll stay. If not, I'll ask if anyone else is working, which often results in having to repeat the process so as to meet choice #2.

As long as you're polite, but firm and persistent, you should be ok. It also helps if you're able to lighten the mood with some humor. Sometimes I'll say I need to meet the girl because maybe she won't like me because I'm too old, or fat, or ugly, or whatever I think might get a laugh.

The important point is that you haven't handed over the money and MMS doesn't want to see that money going anywhere else than in her pocket. She understands that you have the leverage because you can go to any of dozens of AMPs and she'll lose you as a client.

The only time I wouldn't advise using this strategy is when the AMP is really busy. If they have more clients than they can handle, you have essentially zero leverage and MMS won't care if you stay or go. Also, if there's no MMS and a masseuse leads me to a room, I'll just confirm with her that she'll be taking care of me so as to make sure there are no surprises or misunderstandings. At all times my money stays in my wallet until I'm satisfied and decide to stay.

Yea, I tried asking but got no where. Mama knew not to argue about the refund. I didn't even have to ask. When she asked if I had seen this girl before and asked what was wrong, I just asked her if she has ever looked at this girl. Mama knew she was a moose, anybody knew, what could she say? She just looked sour and handed me my cash back.

Saw Leah this past weekend. She's definitely a bigger girl. I'm glad I only opted for hh. Massage was better than average but her nova and BBBJ were lacking. I would not repeat with her. 3 - face, 5 - body. Are any of the others closer to spinner or better looking? Wish I would have known to avoid her. No thanks.

This spa only opened in June and has already changed hands once. During the week Hannah is the only one working there although she (part owner I think) is looking for help that shows up for work and actually has a CMT certificate. Hannah is 43 and slender with pretty good English even though she's only arrived when she was in her 30's. I thought she was 30 BTW. The ad is on rubratings so I figured there's a little fun to be had here.

The facility is clean with plenty of parking and away from view of Evergreen Lane. I paid the fee at the door, disrobed, laid on the table. Her massage is good and she actually listens when you tell her it's too hard or soft. She uses a very nice lotion with no scent. For a time she used a small square towel to cover my butt for a while but that didn't last. Considering this ad was from rubratings, her really nice butt work and inner thigh a dude could expect good things on the flip. Not this time. I turned over and the towel eventually, but not quickly, covered my lunch and the massage continued without further incident.

Even though she stayed out of reach the whole time she was so kind and attentive during the session, and so comfortable when I was uncovered that I thought maybe I should give her another try. On the 2nd attempt the butt work was even better and she revealed that she had worked at some place in Franconia for a couple of years. I'm getting the idea that she's finally dropping a clue and that she was. So I'm laying there about 15 minutes past an hour while getting nice work on my legs and arms and I've told her, "Yeah, I like that too. " No doubt she's been in that end of the business too and isn't opposed to being there again. So why not today? She gave me a nice gentle handshake for a few moments and asked me to come back next week after a very insistent customer entered the place.

I think the problem is that she's the only therapist there and she's got to answer the phone and the door. She can't take a chance on being indisposed when a client or someone comes along that she needs to deal with. She's very attractive to me and very personable and gives really a pretty good massage. I'll see what may come of it. At. 8 for a strictly therapeutic massage it's pricey. If it's only standard NOVA it's still pricey. I'll give her another chance to see if things improve.
