Customs is cool with it as long as you're bringing in only quantities for personal use. A three month supply, I think. They just ask what you're bringing back, you tell them, they might peek in the bag, then wave you through (assuming there's not some other reason for them to detain you). There are some antibiotics and, of course, narcotics they won't let you bring back, but the border town farmacias are savvy and won't sell you anything you can't take into the US.
