Has anyone just been a sugar daddy so they could have someone 20-30 years younger to talk to. These newscasters can't be idiots, I hope.

Posts: 222Mandatory jail for solicitation
So, it's still working it's way through committee in the Florida house but seems to have support, a minimum 5 days in the county jail for solicitation. It started out as a 30 day minimum for soliciting a victim of human trafficking but they stripped that part out and pared down the mandatory time to ten days and now five.

Pretty sure boundaries of comfort is flexible in this one. Money talks louder than their comfort.

Of course they live in the parlors--they aren't here to spend money on apartments, they are here to make as much money as they possibly can in as short a time as possible. Not only do they not want to spend money on apartments, they don't have income they want the IRS to know about or that they have proof of to qualify to rent a decent apartment. Other incidental reasons for living in the massage spas: They are generally on duty from 9 or 10 am To 11:00 pm Time to get to and from an apartment would cut into sleep time and getting ready for work time in the morning. They don't want to buy a car (the vast majority use cash only for everything they need, and they certainly couldn't qualify for a car loan when they don't want their income known) and the cost of a cab or Uber twice a day would impact their main goal: Make and save as much money as possible in as short a time as possible. Setting up, qualifying for, and paying for utilities, WiFi, furniture. There's more reasons--but these seem to be the major ones based on what I've learned from the ladies.

Posts: 472They didn't have to establish "compulsory prostitution". As much as we dislike it, prostitution is a crime. They made 4 traffic stops where guys admitted to paying for happy endings. They did dumpster dives and pulled out evidence of happy endings. They had a health inspector saying that women were living out of the massage parlors which was enough to trigger an investigation. Women were arriving with suitcases, being shuttled from parlor to parlor in expensive cars and in some cases not stepping foot out of the parlor for weeks.

You can't say that. The authorities had these women under watch for more than four months. After all that time they could not establish compulsory prostitution? They then set up cameras to capture the "massage".

The spa workers who were charged with felonies through a trick in the law did not deserve this. There are things you do not do.
The Police Chief in Houston said the exact same thing. "We did not find evidence of drug dealing but that doesn't mean it was not taking place. " His cops raided a home on a fictious investigation and killed the home owners. One home owner wounded a cop and three other cops were wounded by friendly fire. Ultimately, it was discovered the cops lied to the judge to get the no-knock warrant.
You cannot say just because there is not evidence that does not mean it is not happening. Also, they got abou8 t 200 guys getting HJs. They did not get a "trafficker" or a "gangster. ".

"LGBTQIA+" -- holy shit, they keep adding letters and now a symbol? I had to look this up. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex (I had to look that up to know what it was), asexuallity and the " is in case someone feels left out, I guess. I find it interesting the hardcore old guard that has a place on Mills calls themselves "LGBT" only. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Posts: 472Just because the evidence didn't pan out, doesn't mean they didn't have a legitimate case to believe it existed. I never thought that they'd get a conviction on him, but they did have a reasonable belief that trafficking was taking place based on the stake outs that occurred. That's a far cry from false pretense.

I made a prediction about the prosecutors running into an issue with seeking evidence under false pretense. It looks like its about to happen:
