BRIDGEPORT — A local woman lured a New York man on the internet to her home here with the promise of sex and then, with the help of confederates, beat and robbed him, police said.

Tyra Stevens, 19, of Polk Street, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, engaging police in a pursuit and reckless driving.

She was being held in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Police said officers were dispatched to Polk Street Tuesday night on a call of a disturbance.

When officers got there, police said they found the victim, wearing only boxer shorts and socks, bleeding from his mouth. As officers were talking to the man a car suddenly started up and sped from the scene as the victim blurted, "That's the female, there are probably guns in the vehicle," police said.

Police said the victim told them he had contacted a woman with the screen name "Care Free Trap Mami" on Instagram and she had invited him to come to her home to have sex with her.

When the man arrived at the Polk Street home he was met by a woman to told him to go downstairs to her bedroom to wait for her, police said. But as the man was walking down the stairs he told police he was hit from behind and knocked on the floor. The woman and at least two men pointed guns at the victim and took his clothes and $400, police said.

Meanwhile, police said officers pursued the car pointed out to them by the victim, chasing it through the North End before it finally came to a stop. The driver, identified as Stevens, was taken out and arrested. Inside the car police said they found the victim's bloody clothes along with $200 in cash and a butterfly knife.

Police said they searched the yard at the Polk Street house and found two handguns.

I should have included BC and PM in my comparisons. I very rarely frequent these places but don't hold it against anyone that does.
