They just shutdown 2 RI places without arresting or exposing any customers. They charged the staff with prostitution so it wasn't just for work / license violations. I think you're making this out to be some grand plan, when it's probably just local LEO taking care of business the way they seem fit and Kraft has just shifted their attention to AMPs.

Short report.
Got a massage yesterday, no extras offered at all even when I inquiring about it.
Girl still wanted a good tip, told her, no extra for me none for you.
First time that ever happened to me anywhere.
Maybe there are scared of the law now?

My concern is that the most effective way to close these places down would be to kill the demand. Or, at least, that LEO may believe that to be the case. A second incident of large numbers of customers being filmed getting hand jobs and their names disseminated and publicized would go a long way to scaring off customers.

Even if this analysis is wrong, my concern is that LEO would view things that way, and I would not want to be part of the second raid. Admittedly, it might make sense to go after a bigger market than Connecticut to try to scare folks, but the raids in Florida were not in a major metro area.
Oh, and Kraft's wife of many many years died a few years ago, which makes his treatment that much more outrageous to me.

First of all, senior member here who can't log back into his account, so starting over.
Anyway, throwing my 2 cents into the increasing concern over AMP mongering. These ARE businesses right? I mean, we are all here to get inside info as to what goes on behind closed doors, because how can you know from the storefront? Point being, isn't there a reasonable defense that we "had no idea this was that kind of place!
Seems LE is more focused on closing down the parlor, not prosecuting hundreds of mongers. Granted, nobody wants to be there during any kind of a raid.

Posts: 362True story. If you have $6. 6 billion and a football team and you're caught at an AMP or with an escort it's a salacious story for a bit, but you can be damn sure that with the kind of legal representation you can afford that the charges will likely be dropped, not a single person will refuse to do business with you, and while your wife may give you a bit of crap, she's definitely not going to walk away from the pile of cash and the lifestyle and status you represent, and in 4 months you can be back to fucking 22 year old escorts or sugar babies.

Posts: 60Exactly. As this now one ex-monger was telling me. He feels he has gotten a second chance and has learned his lesson. He has a lot at stake and his life would NOT go on (free misdemeanor or not). It would be over as he says. It would affect all aspects of his life. I'm not in his shoes but I can totally understand where he is coming from.

Posts: 853There is no doubt they are connected, in Eastern CT I know of 2 that being run by the same people.
The mama that was at one place that opened years ago is now at another place that recently opened.
She giggled when she saw me, I told her I hit them all.

What worries many is that they don't have $6.6 billion like Bob does. He'll still have all that money and his life will go on. For the rest of us mere mortals who are not multibillionaires, the name in the paper due to an arrest at an AMP, even if a misdemeanor, will forever be out there.

Posts: 60I cannot speak on behalf of a fellow monger who "may have been" involved in one of the more recent situations but there definitely is a joint effort. Meaning it's not just a small town PD conducting the op. It's many different agencies (FBI, Homeland, ICE, IRS Criminal, state po po). Also these AMPs are a very intricate op. Meaning it appears they are all connected. Even to restaurants and grocery stores. Sounds weird and I was kinda like is this a movie? The Flushing Connection seems to be the common theme here. If anyone else has some insight on this please share but Ron is onto something.

See todays Courant page B5 re Manchester an Simsbury AMP. Just my 2 cents. BUT. If you look at all the AMP ads in greater Hartford they all look alike. The hours are very similar. Notice the early closings. All the pics are similar looking young Asians. Pricing is similar. ALL have that Queens connection. Most opened quickly a few years ago where there were none except Soul. Who fronted all that money?
Has to be national connection an just a question of time before state an feds become involved. Local state an fed do talk to each other an are not stupid. They have to see the ads also.

Like a lot of other folks here I've been trying to get more into private ladies instead of the AMPs, but I did visit Burnside last month -- at least 4 weeks post-Kraft -- and Nicole and Company were still giggly, girly, and naughty. Also popped into re-opened Oasis last week and got same affectionate service as always. Maybe I'm imagining it, but maybe the raid made them clean the place up a little bit?

So initial buzz was WAY negative -- all kinds of new attention on the hobby, new narrative about trafficking, lots of fear and paranoia, leading to copy-cat investigators by everyone who wants some of that spotlight. But that buzz has faded a lot -- if a) no one is actually arrested / convicted of trafficking after all that and it's just some low-level prostitution charges, and b) the evidence against the guys starts getting tossed and even those charges are reduced or dismissed, and -- biggest surprise -- c) it turns out that the lady behind these spas is not only NOT some sort of evil trafficker but *a major donor to the Republican party* who is so well-connected that she was invited to **President Trump's personal fucking Super Bowl party** it will be colossal embarassment for all LE involved. So going forward no ambitious prosecutor or publicity- politician or budget-starved police chief will have ANY incentive to launch one of these investigations, and hobby will benefit greatly as a result. And maybe -- call me an optimist! -- it will even make everyone involved a little smarter.
BTW, speaking of trafficking -.
"In 2004 a statewide task force on the sexual trafficking of women and children, led by State Rep. Andrea L. Stillman, D-Waterford, found sexual trafficking does transpire in Connecticut, but is not prevalent.
According to the state police report issued for the task force, the "FBI believes that human trafficking instances do occur within Connecticut but, typically, not with Connecticut as a final destination. ".
