They want way too much information. As soon as they asked for a pay stub and employer information I backed out.

If you are a business owner, or a high ranking employee of a known local business, you are risking WAY too much in my opinion divulging that information to a pimp. I don't care how tight of a ship a guy runs. In this day and age there's no honor among thieves. Non-disclosure agreements and hush money don't mean the same things that they meant 20 years ago. People don't honor stuff like that. I totally understand providing references and even some personal information but they want too much info and most people have too much to lose. At the time he asked for the info I was skeptical, and reviews like this make me feel better that I didn't go all in with them.

Times have changed. A provider can just decide she doesn't like you and create a big mess if she wants. Or just try to extort you for the hell of it. These things have always been a possibility, but the odds of them happening are much higher today. You should protect yourself as much as possible.
