I would like to applaud you on the great job on how you handled this one. I have always said if you are not happy with the service or you are just not into the provider or you don't like the environment. Or anything else. Anyone should have the right to walk away. Because it is your money. Mongers often forget about that fact that he who holds the money sets the rules and if the providers don't play by the rules. Then walk away. I have walked away from many dates because the provider didn't make my specifications.
