Two quick notes about checking girls on SA:

1) SA seems to have cracked down on making dummy accounts (to check girls without paying) by blocking setting up a dummy account with a at mailinator.com email address. That was my go to to check on a girl without paying (of course you could not message them).

2) Since Facebook isn't as much of a sure bet anymore (I think FB locked down the search better), I found the following to be useful. www.intelius.com You can do a reverse lookup. It costs 4-5 dollars, but it's free if they can't find the phone number (means the girl is most likely using a TextFree / TextNow / free burner number). That itself is useful. It also sometimes tells you right where the girl is living (I'm not creeping, but it's good to know how far away they are, and if they are lying or not).

Hey man, don't over think it. Plenty of hotties on the North / east and west sides, just a bit more GPS sometimes but not always. Uber them to you, rather than get a room in another part of town would be about the same cost and less grief IMO, if they are not mobile.

Pricing and value will depend a bit on what part of town you are staying and where you want to pull from. This is a big ass town with lots of traffic and hard to get around. Typically going to need to pay more for a North side girl than south or one that is a bit out in the country.
