This has happened to me also once. It usually only happens in one of two circumstances. Either they randomly monitor your messages and see overt top positions for sex with with money involved or more likely someone you messaged reported you because they're pissed for some reason which is what happened to me. I'm curious if any of you have any telltale signs that make you automatically assume a profile is fake? I mean beyond the obvious posting clearly fake pictures or stating you need to prove you are real.

I'm not sure if this is legit, but when I see a profile mention that they are enrolled in "university" I associate that phrasing with someone outside of the US and likely fake.

The example you provided about the phrasing going to university is gold. I also typically stay away or proceed more cautiously with the profiles that have only one picture. Or multiple pictures with the same outfit / same day. Women are naturally insecure. Ever take a photo for a woman and her friends? How many times do they ask you to retake it to get it right? But some of these SBs are so confident with just one on their profile? Yeah, right. Don't get me wrong, there are some gems with only one pic but I am definitely on a higher alert. Also, profiles that favorite you without viewing your profile! Tendencies of a scammer casting a wide net. And then the obvious profiles with one night only, act now, or I am deleting this app in the headline.

As for identifying pros. They are typically pretty easy to spot. They are quick to talk money and their allowance upfront. Mention of time limits and known monger terminology (cip, cim, BBFS, etc). Their profiles have near nude public photos with their faces unblurred. Some of their pictures are clearly in a hotel (check the background furniture).

I am not sure why more people don't do what I do, hide my profile from search. That kills all of those overseas scammers / fakes from contacting you. Only profiles I have visited will ever know I exist. I have a SO, it's one of the ways I keep a little more UTR.
