Took a stroll early this morning around 3:20 am to see what was happening. I was not surprised to see NOTHING. I heard of recent sting activity but there was not one single PD rolling around. I drove through 28th and Haines, NOTHING. Down 34th, NOTHING. The only thing I saw was on 35th. A young looking WSW with blonde curly looking hair on 35th behind the car wash. She was wearing a red coat with skinny blue jeans on. Management was stuck to her like glue and she gave the look cars passed but nobody was going to scoop with him hanging around. They were walking south last I seen. Then I left the black streets. Pure ghost town. It wasn't too cold out or hot, clear skies, very light traffic in the areas and not a single marked PD or Deputy car. ANYWHERE! It was perfect for mongering except there was not a single soul in sight. Sometimes mongering sucks.

Get a good scanner, and when you approach the decoy it locks on misspiggy talking, you don't even need to roll down the window. Risky if they get into your car but worth the investment.

St Pete's finest had their bus parked in the lot next to the new Goodwill on 34th st and 24th ave all day today. With like 50 marked and unmarked cars parked in the lot coming and going. After rush hour, all disappeared and no marked cars in sight. Saw 4 uniformed officers with no patrol cars in sight, standing in the parking lot of Big Lots not too far away talking to a white female mid to late 30's. Didn't recognze her, might have been one of their decoys. No SW's anywhere in sight. They were out in Lealman. But nothing worth picking up.

Be careful out there. Seems as if they are on task here lately!

I usually don't talk to them at all. I don't even roll down the window unless I want to get a better look. I just give them a quick glance, a smile, and stop. If they're too stupid to just open my door and get in on their own, I pass -- unless I REALLY want this particular girl. Then if she's a little hesitant, I'll do the "do you need a ride" thing.

Also, if I'm not absolutely sure I want to scoop, I start with the doors locked. The first time she pulls the handle and it doesn't work, she'll usually look in the window at you. At that point, I decide whether to unlock the door or drive off.

If she goes out of her way to not let you see her face, drive off! She might either be a tranny or a girl who's uglier than a tranny or no teeth or some other reason you wouldn't want her to get in your car.

I generally keep my doors locked until the very last second.

There's another way to know what's going on.
