I used to think letting them make the first offer was a smart move. I now realize that they are not stupid and lead high so they don't negotiate against themselves. I now use a different approach and follow the take it or leave it attitude of many of you. Life is too short.

I also thought it would be fun to try to think back and list my various babies. It wasn't. The number got way too high way too quickly. Though I can also see a definite increase in quality / decrease in quantity trend.

Was all set to meet her after she agreed immediately to all details, then she dropped that she needed half up front. Told her no and she blocked me with impressive speed, as if that would stop me from reporting her or something.

Yup, got the same line an hour prior. Might be overly protective, but I reported her anyway.
