Beginning today, MEGABUS will start using the Walgreen's Strip Mall on SOBT at 45th Street as their Orlando Bus Stop. The old stop was on 436 at Colonial. What this means for mongers is that EVERY DAY, several busses will be coming and going from this new stop full of weary travelers. The bus stop is not out at the street where the city busses run. It will be in the parking lot of the strip center. They list the address of the stop as 4562 SOBT. Every bus will bring many people traveling on the cheap that sometimes will need RIDES to their local destination and may even need some financial help once they arrive in Orlando. Sometimes when people are waiting for the bus and before they even leave on their $25 bus ride, they may need some spending cash for the journey. The ones I have had success with SAY they aren't professionals but had no problem playing for a few tokens to help them out.

My experience from another city where I have mongered and has a Megabus stop right on the mongering trail, that many unaccompanied women ride these busses. I have spoken to several nice women and even partaken with a few over the years. Some are coming in on the bus, some were waiting for the next bus when I have had success. Granted, not all women riding the bus are willing to play BUT there will be many each day that are potential candidates, even if they aren't professionals. I have seen single women sit at the bus stop for over an hour on several occasions waiting for either a bus to pick them up or for their ride to come get them. In both cases, this leaves opportunity to possibly find a UTR type experience.

When the busses arrive, they usually will have several people that will get off the bus as a final stop and many times, they don't have a ride or someone to meet them when they get in. Also, if it isn't their final stop, several people will get off the bus on a brief layover. These people usually flock to the neighboring stores and restaurants to grab a bite or snack. Depending on the length of the layover, some of them will have time for a quick car date! I find that being in the parking lot of the nearby restaurants and convenient stores is a good place to hang out to initiate conversation.

I mention this purely as a public service and since this is a new stop for them, I don't know how well it will be monitored by Uncle. As always, YMMV.

Moved closer to the downtown area, decided to hit up OBT on my off day at work last week. Didn't take long before I spotted a cute little thing by Popeyes with Red hair, jeans and a black shirt. I asked if she needed a ride and she said yes, a friend of hers came out and started yelling about something. She waved her away and got in my car, caused a bit of a scene which I did not like but everything got better when we drove away. Found a nice quiet place by a large work building. Hit the trail about 5 pm. I was in the New Q where I saw Christina and Shannon at WM. I had to run in WM for a minute and by the time I came out, Christina was gone, had no desire for Shannon.
