Posts: 356Hey you Pussy Asswipe -- Yeah you, RogerOver
Damn straight you're not my colleague. You couldn't carry my jockstrap in a suitcase! And if I let you try, you'd just stick it in your mouth and suck on it all day long.

"I love the military since they don't pay much, and because of that I must be broke"? Uh, last I heard, YOU were "retired military" also, so how does that make me any different than you? At least I spent my time in the military getting an education. Enlisted as a high school dropout, and retired as an Officer with a PhD. Nice post-service white collar work, if you can get it!
Keep trying Popeye, it's going to take a lot more to beat me at my own game. Maybe you should go eat your spinach. A2 tried to warn you that this thing would have legs. You should have listened!
Let the games begin!

Posts: 356In everyone's defense, ALL services today can "kill anything that moves", within the bounds of the weapons systems and munitions they have.

There is still some overlap between the services today, particularly in aviation, but they all serve different functions / missions.
For example, the Army has helicopters, as do the Marines (and also the Coast Guard, during time of war).
And the Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard all have fixed-wing aircraft.

Here are a few quotations from Marine General "Mad Dog" Mattis (our current Secretary of Defense):
- "Its quite fun to shoot them, you know. Its a hell of a hoot. Its fun to shoot some people".
- "There are some assholes in the world that just need to be shot".
- "I come in peace. I didnt bring artillery. But Im pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, Ill kill you all".
- "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet".
- "There are some people who think you have to hate them in order to shoot them. I dont think you do".

I'm not your colleague you silly twat. But you're welcome to cup my balls and decide if they are ready to fill up your girlfriend. (I'm sure she needs a "real" guy). I'm sure you're a great blue-collar guy that likes to think he's a "dr".

Skipping all the rest since you're obviously a cowardly little * I used to send pups like you to swab the tomahawk deck. LOL.

Posts: 1104When you think about it, it makes sense. They are really three completely different modes of warfare: land (Army), sea (Navy), and air (Air Force).

It was the Army Air Corps but from the beginning the people who were running the planes were looking for more autonomy because they felt the brass didn't really get aviation. I forget when and don't want to look it up but sometime around 41,42 maybe before they changed the name. Then in 47 they became the Air Farce.

With AAs it's, "Ugggghhhh, you didn't pay for this. You didn't pay for that. Would you hurry up. " And they are very vocal about it opposed to the others where it's implied in their attitudes. (This is the majority of my experience with them not the standard).

There, of course, is the age brackets that cause a differ in attitudes as well.

And it's even more awesome that you appreciate having it!
A lot of the younger generation could care less about memorabilia like that, eventhough to some of us, it's PRICELESS!

The only attitude I want a girl to have when I pay her to be with me is "how may I please you sir". I continue to be amazed by the lack of business accumen these ladies continue to display.

Today (November 10th) is the 243rd birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
Every year, Bob Parsons (GoDaddy.com CEO) issues a video tribute to "The Few, The Proud", and to all other veterans who have served in honor of Veteran's Day (November 11th). Bob served in Vietnam as a Marine Infantryman.
Here is this year's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GufHzKvgeo.
Enjoy, and Thank-You to all who have served!
