I personally always use burner numbers so if I ever get any off brand messages I just toss it and move to the next one. I also have 3 established online aliases for extra anonymity. It may sound paranoid but I'm a paranoid person by nature. We all take risk in this hobby.

I've had to do the same thing once and the pimp was sending me texts and calling with a blocked number. I told him good luck finding my ass to kick and to go fuck himself, tossed the SIM and moved on. I also didn't visit anyone in the same hotel for a few weeks to let the scene cool down.
