I had the impression that he was taking a vacation due to his alleged involvement with drugs, not due to his lifestyle pursuit. But I may be wrong, and some would say with him they are one in the same.

Don't think we are necessarily finding happiness in his getting snagged, just his not being around and posting his nonsense, for whatever reason.

What's really obvious that is happening here is that you appear to be white-knighting him. That won't go over well here.
