I'm afraid that when that place opens up, Rock-Za and Femme Nu will probably be history. From what I understand, Yuni owns the land under Femme Nu. Rumors have been flying around for a long time that she's looking to sell (supposedly she was was going to sell back in April, according to the last rumor), and let's face it: Femme Nu ain't what it used to be.

From what I hear, it's the same story with Rock-Za. They own the land under it.

Both Rock-Za and Femme Nu have been around since the '80's and they're on prime real estate. I'm wondering how long those owners can hold out until the money just gets too good to pass up.

Sadly, Hawaii by night closed earlier this year, a victim of the renovation of Waikiki, and biz was already bad after the late night shooting in front of alley cat. Some of the girls moved to 939 but no play available there. I would start there and tip some cute young girls, and then when you're drunk and horny, walk down the street to Sandy's (Vegas star) and get your BJ from one of their older ladies. It's dark enough that you can close your eyes and imagine it's one of the hbn girls.

Thanks for sharing the news article. I was at Rock Za on Saturday night and there was talk about the shooting, but not much in term of details. I agree, it can be a bit sketchy around that area. I was initially worried that the homeless in the area were becoming more aggressive and initially the police did not have a suspect and it was rumored to be a homeless person that pulled the trigger in an attempted robbery. I ended up staying at Rock Za longer than usual due to the vast amount of police cars with sirens on just outside of the bar and the uncertainty of a suspect at large. Ended up walking over to Femme Nu, not knowing what had happened and was on high alert to any suspicious characters. That area should get a lot better when the Mandarin Oriental opens in a couple years.
