Well, two potential reasons leap to mind.

1) She's using a service that leverages CC data to verify info in an effort to limit her risk. This is not an uncommon practice in the legit world but I would be surprised if too many of the companies that do this would be thrilled to learn they are vetting johns.

2) It makes it easier to buy stuff on Amazon and what not when she has your card info.
