I've never taken less than 90 minutes to get to COI. It may be only 20 minutes east of downtown, but downtown is a solid hour from my starting point. Last time I was in COI it took me nearly an hour just to get to Pasadena. That was at 2 pm on a Friday. Traffic was miserable.

Thanks for the invitation to join you on your adventure. Sadly, that just ain't going to happen. It's a nice thought, though.

Sixty, I'm sure you must know that COI is no more than a 20 minute drive from downtown L. A. Before 3 PM and after 7 PM. It is not that remote!

I am happy to say that my life has changed. I retired and have thrown off the shackles of wage slavery though overall it will make me a much poorer man financially, but a much richer man in all other ways. I will have time for whatever doesn't cost too much and occasionally for the kinds of adventures that do go deep into one's wallet. My SE Asia adventure is still at least most of a year away. I will need to do much more research, but one of my Thai friends told me that August and September are good times to go if I can stand the "cold" of a SE Asian "winter". That being temps as low as 50-60 at night. The monsoon rains back off by August but it still isn't high season because of those bone chilling 60 degree days. That's what I want. No tourist mobs and no tropical heat.

Come along or meet me for a week or two!?

I somehow missed this when you posted it. I'm so bored of the whole scene, locally: AMPs, clubs, etc. It just seems pointless and unsatisfying. I remember when strip clubs were FUN. You could spend hours in one and leave happy, with a bounce in your step, instead of feeling like they hooked a vacuum up to your pocket and sucked your wallet out. I remember AMP girls who were enjoying themselves, and would attack you with relish, having a good time and giggling with delight.

Now, it's all drab, mercenary and horrible.

I know it's better elsewhere. COI is still fun, and the OC has Honey and other cool places. But SFV and LA are just husks of their former selves.

Sorry to sound like Debbie Downer, but when you've had truly fun, exhilarating experiences in the past, the current scene just seems like something out of East Germany circa 1977. (Actually, they probably had a better time than we do.).

I envy Camel and his upcoming trip, and all of you who can take the time to drive 3 or 4 hours round trip to COI or OC (or Tijuana).

Being stuck in the 818 is a drag.

Damn, Sixty, I think we've been mongering too long. Felt the same way lately. Got the cash, but every place seems like the last. Been thinking of taking a poll on where I should try. See where the board sends me. Or maybe take up golf.

So, I decided to check out a new place on Sherman Way, just west of White oak, set back a bit from SW. It's a GOOD shop to stop by.

NOTE:

This place also has lady-boys, so if that bothers you, or intrigues you, now you know. (Not making a judgement call-just trying to give full info).

I had heard about Kay from another site, and got lucky as she was my provider. A very nice, 35 (iish) Thai girl with pretty good massage skills. The shop's running a "new place" special. 3-1/2, . 4-hr, so I went for the hour. She has good english skills, but didn't talk my ear off. In fact, I fell asleep for part of the massage. Thanks for this info. I actually went today and saw Tamy. Like you said it's a little more expensive than a AMP but I do like the more intimate 1 on 1 experience you get unlike most AMPs. Definitely part of my rotation now.

Went back to check out new girl Ce. She was okay, but a little disappointing. Tamy wasn't available and I should gone with Irene again. CBJ, didn't seem into oral. Oh well. It was fine.

Tried to see Kay once again fro a GOOD massage, but she was busy (one of you guys?) so walked across SW to the other shop. Thank you. I knew that place would be a sure thing. They are the same girl clique that moved over from their old shop at 11024 Victory. (behind mcdonalds) One day a while back I stopped by Victory for a repeat of my post #746 on the LA / Mature Asian thread and was greeted with locked doors and sign stating they had moved to this address, now named you-spa. I could not hit it that day so filed it away for future inspection. Everything has always been available from that group, if you ask nicely. Damn, now you got me driving north. Did they keep that couch from the old big room?? Haha.

Easter Egg: If you put that 11024 Victory address into google map street view you can see the darkened massage sign in the window with the new info taped to the door.

Interesting. I only checked out the place on Victory once, a couple of years ago. I had a decent experience, but not one that called me back with any urgency. I'd been thinking of checking it out again, but you saved me a trip. I didn't see a couch. Big or otherwise. But I'm always so anxious to the point of oblivion, I could have tripped over it, and I wouldn't remember.

Glad to know my intuition was right, and the full menu is available. Looking forward to your next report!
