My guess is simple supply and demand. There was a brief period, and to some extent that still exists, where eros was the consistent, known, reliable supply while demand remained the same.

BP posters used to hourly top their ads which made it easy to see who was on duty or needed the business or not. That was a relative over supply situation and mongers had more choices and they were easy to make. Lots of competition for the same buyers kept prices in check. Now there's a lot of competition, relatively speaking, for the same suppliers giving them the edge.

Almost all of those agencies are charging $300 for a seasion which is just way to expensive when there are better prices out there, for what your getting in my book the cost is way to high when you can get the same for half the cost with an independant.
