I found some limited info that seems to indicate it's real. I suppose as long as they don't require any personal info to be part of the council then it's really no big deal. I generally think these customer boards are a big waste of time since they are looking for people to validate whatever plan / idea / concept they have rather than seeking actual constructive criticisms to improve their product.
