Kellster, I meant that the common thread of a lot of the phony profiles doing this scam, have a moved to the area from Richmond in the profile itself. I don't mean that area is a literal birthplace of scams of any kind. It's just a common profile flaw. Other forums for pof, match, tinder, etc. Report this as such.

The spoofers can be local, our of the country, in a small town, etc. This is a rare one of a local.

Yes, Richmond and Virginia In general happens to be a hot bed for this scam. It is all dating site types too, not just SA.

She won't pursue you I doubt and if she does, I'd scare her back somehow. She's the one committing the crime, you being a mentor to her and helping with homework, is not. .

Hmnn..... I don't know if Richmond,VA is necessarily a hotbed for extortion scams, but I'll take your word for it. I just meant it has the most comprehensive thread on this site for sugar babies. The thread has thousands of posts and goes back years. A lot of the posters are very experienced and give great tips so they would be a good resource to ask. Although it sounds like you received some good advice on here already.

I agree it's not just sugar babies- women can lie in regular dating too. Although if they pull that crap and a pattern emerges they'll lose their credibility without proof- especially against a guy without a past history of being in trouble with the law imo. Just like women talk about guys scamming them on sugar sites- we talk too and word gets around to avoid certain gals because they're a scam artists.

Eric if you did not meet this person, just ignore all the calls, block number, don't answer calls you don't recognize. The scam is they get a fake adult sounding male to pretend to be a detective next. (police don't call, normally) I got a missed call from a "Thomas Jenkins" who wanted to speak to me, a few days after she had her fake dad text me. I ignored. It simply stopped a few days later. I found her fake profile again a few months later and scared her / him off the site

I've heard horror stories throughout the years from scared hobbies who have received nude pics. Then the girl says she isn't 18.
A friend told me of a girl from SA last year. She kept putting off meeting in person because of car trouble, and instead offered to send him nudes if he would send her money through an app. After he agreed, she sent him a couple of nudes. She asked if he liked the pics, then told him she was 16.

He was able to convince her he never had received the pics. She kept persisting, going back and reading through their text message thread. But he always had an answer for her as to why he never actually received her pics. She eventually gave up, though it helped that he was able to kill her game before she even started the extortion scare part. He acted fast and killed it at the head.

Be VERY careful when receiving pics from girls. This is a scam that has been around for a while, and now apparently popping up on SA.

Apparently 3,000 is rosa's favorite number. A hobby friend tells me he is still in contact with her. Says she keeps asking him for 3 g's, or she's going to get evicted. He says he had no intention to meet her, especially not after reading Lex's post.

He's more of a lurker, hardly posts. Asked me to share the attached pics Rosa sent him. Since he has not met her, he can't confirm pics are real.

Very hard to swallow that rate when most of my experiences were for around a third of that rate.
