A friend told me of a girl from SA last year. She kept putting off meeting in person because of car trouble, and instead offered to send him nudes if he would send her money through an app. After he agreed, she sent him a couple of nudes. She asked if he liked the pics, then told him she was 16.

He was able to convince her he never had received the pics. She kept persisting, going back and reading through their text message thread. But he always had an answer for her as to why he never actually received her pics. She eventually gave up, though it helped that he was able to kill her game before she even started the extortion scare part. He acted fast and killed it at the head.

Be VERY careful when receiving pics from girls. This is a scam that has been around for a while, and now apparently popping up on SA.

Apparently 3,000 is rosa's favorite number. A hobby friend tells me he is still in contact with her. Says she keeps asking him for 3 g's, or she's going to get evicted. He says he had no intention to meet her, especially not after reading Lex's post.

He's more of a lurker, hardly posts. Asked me to share the attached pics Rosa sent him. Since he has not met her, he can't confirm pics are real.

She won't pursue you I doubt and if she does, I'd scare her back somehow. She's the one commiting the crime, you being a mentor to her and helping with homework, is not. .

The burden is only on the guy to actually verify her age in situations where there is actual sex involved. Statutory rape is a strict liability crime, regardless of what she told you her age was. You two didn't do anything sexual, there's no problem. Nothing illegal about hanging out with a 16 year old, if what she even claims has any bit of truth to it. I wouldn't be concerned. Cease all contact.

Her activities on the site would also be a red flag, she's probably talking to 50 dudes a week all of those chats are archived by SA. They would obviously reach out to dudes she contacted and get the same story back.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Yes, we actually met up. Picked her up a couple times and hungout. Nothing more than that.

There was never any talk of sex, no hint, no implications of anything sexual whatsoever. As far as text change goes, we texted a couple times to coordinate a meetup. Only exchanged pictures for verification before meeting, nothing revealing at all. Had anything sexual come up prior to the meeting or during I'd be shitting bricks right now.

Your thoughts, gents?
