When they're not guests of the county, they often times live on our (taxpayers) dime in the " projects " .

Posts: 764I was pretty much going to stay out of this, but that isn't remotely true. I know that one hospital, does in fact have a lock down unit in their ER, and a few others have a version of lock downs. As well as lock down rooms for psychiatric patients suffering severe medical issues. They will keep a patient in that locked down room if needed until medically stable, and then ship them over to the specialized lockdown unit of that ER for psych evaluation and decide what facility they will send them to. Psychiatric UNITS (wards) will not accept a patient who are having any type medical issues. That portion of this ER acts just like the psych ward lock downs. During this time, as long as a doctor deems it medically necessary, they cannot leave AMA. So she was either not considered psychiatric and she was able to leave AMA, or this story is missing something.

These girls seem to do that. I get texts every week from some girl out of the blue "can you come see me now"? No. I have a life. That's why I schedule appointments. I suggest you try keeping them and conduct yourself as a business.

The full narrative would make your head spin even more.

Here's why.
"(Knock on the door) We arrested X on a warrant. X had a medical emergency. We _released_ (not took -- released) X to why hospital. She had medical POA paperwork on her or on file. You should go to Y hospital to handle things. If you do go, which you should because you're X's authorized agent, and she wakes and is discharged or tries to leave and you allow or assist her, we'll charge you with aiding and abetting. ".
In hindsight, I can see the liability logic from LEO in a situation like this.
The hospitals say this is SOP for LEO in Summit County. No hospital with an ER has a true lock-down unit. The hospitals with lock down units won't accept an emergency patient. Non lock down hospitals (I. E. Places without psych wards) will not take a patient suffering from an emergency.
I have been told via text and email from my team that many people with experience being arrested for substance abuse know this "loop hole" and exploit it to escape after being arrested.
It's mind-numbing.Last edited by Member #5621; 02-18-18 at 08:55. Reason: spelling

Posts: 930You bring up some good points. I don't think he's lying he just doesn't have the full story and appears to not know how junkies work. Even the "good ones," good people in every other aspect of their lives, will lie through their teeth about their use and to protect their dealer(s). I suspect she had scored and either swallowed or absorbed fentanyl through her vagene while in custody. If she was in a cell it may have taken time to figure out what was going on.

Posts: 764I didn't even get quoted. I agree, 150 is quite steep, especially for not knowing jack about her service.

Posts: 598I'm glad I wasn't alone with this sentiment. He says she's her emergency contact and vice versa, but if she had a seizure in the cruiser, how does he know? If she's in the hospital, how does he know? How does he know she's unresponsive (even to pain)? Does she have a card in her purse that says to call him? They let him in to see her? A stranger?

Also, she was apparently indicted or had pending charges. So she was jailed, released, went to rehab voluntarily, charges were officially pressed, but because rehab they couldn't arrest her? So a warrant was issued and she was arrested upon release?
I'm not calling op a liar, but I am saying this story is a wild ride and it would be depressing to find out OP is writing fiction to get his jollies off when these situations actually happen.

Posts: 930Something doesn't ad up there. People don't just drop brain dead. I've dealt with enough junkies to know that if you let them out of sight to go to the bathroom at Walmart they'll score a bag of dogfood. So your 'no time to score something' doest mean shit. If they know where they're going they have someone meet them there or make a drop ahead of time. Then there's their emergency stashes. They're like squirrels. You sound in over your head.

Left treatment AMA.
Got picked up on a warrant as soon as she was local.
No time to score anything -- completely clean.
Had a seizure in the cruiser.
I just left the hospital. Unresponsive, even to pain -- vitals don't even move. Eyes half open, no one home.
Whatever is going on with her medically is quite terrifying.
I've only seen that sort of non-response in un-drugged coma patients and in OD patients.

I don't remember seeing anything about her, Anyone know anything? I contacted her a few days ago, we both exchanged two texts each and then she went dark. So I went on about my life and I just got a text from her from a different number (It's been, like a week) that is attached to her real name and I facebooked it. It was real and the pics from her ad and FB match. She said she had gotten a room and wanted to see if I wanted to meet. Completely out of the blue. I declined as I have shit to do but wondered if anyone knew anything.
