Last year I've heard versions of this story from the massage girls.

One version was in Texas and another was in New York.

Short version is police busted an AMP and take it over for a sting operation.

It sounds like an urban myth to me but it's a big world and everything is possible.

Googling on the relevant terms yields media articles that state the women were arrested. One is not likely to find massage parlor busts that include customers.

In contrast, the Calfornia-wide operations of the past week were directed at the customers who were drawn in by online ads.

And, even though they are now doing "trafficking" investigations, seldom do these massage parlor actions result in finding someone who was there against their free will.

Governments found that alcohol prohibition did not work; many have found that marijuana prohibition did not work. Will this country ever get mature enough to decide there is a better way to handle the "world's oldest profession"? I am not betting on it.

Curious as to how they would work a sting at a MP. Most of the busts I've read about have been raids where LE comes in and rounds up the ladies based on previous visits by undercover dudes. Not sure what they'd nail a customer on. Not against the law to get a massage. How would they know you were there to get a "massage"?

None were simply cited and released, all were arrested and taken to jail until they could post bail. SDPD said they're cracking down and they're prosecuting fully.

Thats nuts. Any specific area? I guess sticking to AMPs is the safest bet.
