Well, appreciate this, and previous advice in that direction. Very true that good chemistry and a comfort level will probably get them down from the high horse. Can't hurt to give it a shot, though my inbox (and calendar) has has been pretty full the past weeks within the limit I've so far set. And I must admit I've been pleased with the results!

I've gone out with a number of girls who listed "moderate" or higher, for $200 or less per date. I believe you're doing yourself a disservice by avoiding those who list anything besides negotiable. I have had good luck finding several that listed practical or moderate and have actually been very reasonable. I'm talking 2 x $ or less for dates lasting several hours. You can do what you like but I would keep my options open.
