I have seen posts from mongers describing their interactions with providers on FB. I have always been suspect of that site. Here's a really good reason to be extra careful. It's not the old days. Like George Costanza's worst fear, you don't want worlds to collide.

With google maps etc. It is simply impossible to avoid all these IT giants collecting personally identifiable information. As soon as one puts in an address in the maps application, google can put one and one together and add it to their database as one might have read the ad on their browser as well. They have this information from not just one person, but from a number of people. While they may not have access to call logs if one uses a burner phone, if regular phones are used for these other stuff, they can still identify. It may be just better not to use the regular phone for any of this activity and not have identifiable information on the burner electronics.

What I meant to convey was not that I found these interactions on FB, as I would touch that site for anything; but that mongers here have described finding or interacting with providers that they already knew from mongering while on FB.

Perhaps a distinction without a difference but one way or another FB can be a dangerous place. Just everybody be careful. This game is tough enough. Don't want to see anyone get in trouble.
