I've had a few gals on SA offer to send pictures or want me to text them.

As I am not giving out my number to anyone initially and, I don't have a burner, I have replied with an email address.

It seems it falls on deaf ears so far.

I figure there is something to them wanting to text or wanting my number. I am usually sceptical about that.

Why would they want to send pictures to a number but not to an email addy? Does the message system block email addresses?

I will be getting a burner soon. I just have to re-read some of the information here to learn What is the better method.

Get a text app like Google Voice. That gives you a number based out of any city you'd like that isn't traceable to you. There are plenty of those apps out there. BTW, same for email. Get a gmail account and you can set up a discrete Facebook profile, Kik account, etc. None that would give away your identity.

I think it's the fact that they're in their 20's and are used to having a phone permanently attach to their hand. They tweet, they Facebook, they text at a furious pace without even looking at the screen, their photos are all in their phone. It's just a different generation than us.

Emails are a slow form of communication and honestly scream "Scam". Phones allow for quick contact and reply. They also providw an avenue to verify the legitimacy of a contact through apps like kik, skype, etc. Sending emails for a prolonged conversation outside of an official capacity or job is awkward. This is coming from someone in their late 20's who has mailed three letters and written 4 paper checks in his entire life.

Her SA handle is "Promise patients" She has a TER I'd (324307) under the handle Payton and her reviews are not very good. I did not see her personally so I guess YMMV from the reviews. I got a bad vibe when dealing with her, switched her offline to text and that's when I learned the true story.
