I had been using a specific app for years, but recently they lost my phone number due to contract renegotiation with their carriers. Sucks for me because all of the bookers that I've spent years building relationships with knew me by this number.

Anyway, I'm now looking for a new app / service that will hopefully be around for a while, that provides a phone number & text service, and only requires an email address to setup an account. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I've considered Google voice, but know of mixed results when it comes to it being overly intrusive (meaning difficult to keep separate from real accounts).
