One of the issues (AMP's) is mongers are throwing money at these ladies for sub par service or giving into the extortion so they know there are enough guys who will pay. If it changes it will be a slow change. There have been some reports here of mongers pushing back so there is hope.

Has there ever been any attempt to consolidate consumer knowledge or information in a manner where the AMP staff can read and learn what service expectations are, what qualities are valued, what circumstances are not in favor, which businesses are noteworthy for excellence or value in service, which are not? There are several options maybe. Something like a AMP Top 10 List, maybe a Mongers' Bill of Rights, etc. I'm not sure that AMP therapists have the patience or gumption to visit this site often enough or to drill down on search threads to really acquire the kind of working knowledge or perspective that appears on here "over time".

OPIllini: I agree with everything you said in this post. The scene here really is pathetic. And yes, we are tipping way too much for half assed service we get. Your rates are the going rates: 40,60, 100. You don't get more if you pay more. So why do we wonder why the scene here is so bad? I don't know.

I don't think any one has raised this question, so I'll ask it. Do the girls have a web site that works like ours? If so, they are talking about us. The young ones can easily get in there and see that the work is just not for them. Does such a site exist? We could learn a lot from reading it. They sure read our stuff. I know that for a fact. PM if you know anything.

IMHO some of it might be our fault. Look around. There are loads of young Asians in Chicago. They are students, grocery store clerks, waitresses, young mothers, whatever. They come here with nothing, and they need to make money. And yet, they stay away from us. I have heard our "girls" complain that we have bad breath, stinky asses, arm pits, smelly feet. We have dead fish decomposing in our stomachs, hamburger / fries, alcohol. Some us are so fat that a pretty young Asian girl cannot imagine it, much less do it. YMMV, but even the old ones we complain about do not particularly like us. They do it anyway. Money.

(I probably wouldn't rant like this in a crowded room. I do apologize to anyone I have offended. But I sure would like to hear their side of it.).

I have gotten to know a MT pretty well and she mentioned she has a login to this site and was curious to see what the other women are doing as well as what they are charging. So some might see other women are getting more money for services rendered and figure why should I do the same for less. If guys are paying the higher price they must not mind too much and gets to be the norm.

I've been frequenting AMPs on and off for the last 6 years. When I first started there was a genuine feeling of excitement I had with each visit in anticipation of the finish at the end of the massage. I thought the services were overall a nice experience.

But reading the accounts of the veterans here. I. e. Those who went to AMPs in the 70's /80's /90's. It seems as if the glory days of AMPs in the Chicago area are long gone. And when I see that there was a lot more fun in those days than there is now, I wonder if we will ever see those days again. I know AMP's in New York, Southern California and the Bay Area have long been hotspots and will likely continue to be. So, I ask you guys. Can Chicago become just as good as those areas? Or are we doomed to overall mediocrity? Of course I know there are a few gold nuggets in Chicagoland. Nice-looking talent with quality services at reasonable prices (and are grateful for the tips). But largely it seems like most ladies are homely and older, the services are not that great, and they act sad if you tip the standard amount.

I know this has been said before, but one possible way of turning the tide in our favor is sticking with standard tip rates. That means 40 for HJ, 60 for BJ, and 100 for FS. If the lady does something extra like a foot or scalp massage then you can add another 10 or 20. But we as mongers need to hold the line on these rates. If they don't want to accept the standard tips, we can take our business elsewhere. Let's see if we can get this AMP scene turned around here in Chicagoland!

A question for those of you who are married and wear a wedding ring: Do you leave your ring on or take it off before the session? Whenever I go to an AMP I usually take off my wedding ring before I get there.

During my last massage the MT was massaging my hands and obviously noticed the callus right where my ring would be. She asked if I was married and I lied and said "no. " I don't think her HJ would have been any different if I had told the truth.

I find that honesty about being married does not change anything other than if a MT is willing to see you on the side. I always get a WeChat or other I'm contact with providers. Some I have contacted on the side and some have said no because I am married. No big deal for me though. I have a girlfriend in Shanghai and one in Bangkok. Both know I am married and are okay with it. If I lied to them and said I was not married they would want to get married and move to the US. If I wasn't married I would bring either one of them here in a heartbeat.

Whether it is true or not, a wedding ring is a signal that you're probably a halfway decent guy as women figure that there is someone from their team who has vetted you and passed her test.

It tells them you're probably not a lunatic, probably not a drug addict, probably are reasonably clean, probably don't have any crazy STDs, probably are financially stable, and probably don't want any trouble. Because trouble at a massage parlor is the last thing a dude with a wife and kids wants to encounter.

BTW, many women are very competitive. As someone else already posted, you can say something like "my wife is really great blah blah blah but she doesn't do xyz. The chick will be motivated to do xyz to one-up your wife especially if she thinks you're willing to show your appreciation with a decent tip.

I do such things sometimes so I do not have to have such conversations with providers. One time, the provider was nosy enough to ask why I use her services. Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to blurt out a thing or two I want her to do that I don't get as the reason. Boy, she was super motivated to do those things and one of them was BBBJ COF.

I haven't contributed much, but thought I should start. Thanks to Barbarossa for suggesting Judy at Lilly Spa on Belmont. I'm a big fan of table showers, which is why I gave this place a try. Called ahead to ask if Judy was working and she was. When I got there she took me back to the room where I got undressed. She looks a bit older, like late 40's or more, but dressed like she's trying to be younger. Once in my towel she led me back to the table shower room, and without hesitating took my towel off me. Great time, lots of time cleaning my ass and junk. Dried me off and then back to the room. Mediocre massage, but I really wasn't there for that. Before the flip I got a quick FUTB. Love that. Anyway, I had gone once before and had a really good massage and standard finish. I believe the damage was $45 + $40 tip. No table shower. I elected for a half hour massage because I was short on time and because I don't like paying over $100 if I'm not getting FS. On my second visit, after the flip, she climbed on the table and went between my legs. I was thinking BJ. She proceeded with a HJ and surprised me with a finger up my butt. I had never experienced it, and had she asked me I may have said no. But she just did it, and it felt good. I was done quickly.
