There are dialects all over the country. If it weren't for a national government across the continent for the past 250 years those dialects would probably be on their way to being full blown languages. All she got in exchange was ridicule in the popular press. Would have been easier to keep her head low, be nice to some kids over the years and retire or move to a wealthier school district..
