There are probably more white GAY MALES, in the gay population. HIV transmission is on the rise, probably greater in the gay population due to unprotected anal sex, than in the straight white male population due to intravenous drug use (or hetro-sex).

If we're looking at pure statistics, it's more likely the gay population that is responsible for the spike, than the hetrosexual one.
