There are some other fairly easy things to do to make sure you're dealing with a real person. You'd be surprised with how many women are using part of their email address as their handle. Searching for that or the contact info they give you on FB is an easy way to both confirm that they're real and even see some pics beyond ones that put them in the best light. Of course, Tineye is a great way to identify fake pics or escorts, etc.

I Google their numbers, pictures, email addy, anything they send me. I've been on and off of SA for a couple of years now and in the hobby for 12+ years, for me to get burned it takes some serious skill, I have enough contacts that the little head doesn't control the big head. If I can't find a date I always have pro's and civvie girls that are extremely reliable as well.

I've been on there for a couple of months and have had quite a bit of success and YES many seem to think they are going to find a real, wealthy SD that lounges around in a smoking jacket and sips brandy in his mansion but the tend to come down to earth pretty quickly. I could give a whole tutorial on SA, as I'm sure a couple others here could as well. I've got about 2 yrs of activity there on both the success and fail sides, but it generally takes weeding through the stack just like our other resource sites (BP, CL, etc). I will say it is a pretty nice stack to weed through though. Just stick to your budget, know what you want and be upfront with them in your initial msgs, at the same time being respectful, and the fruits will start falling from the tree.
