Long time lurker, but last night I finally pulled the trigger on a Cuban Melissa. All I can say this was my first and last experience in life style and she made it memorable. Yes you can text by laptop. Go to textem.net and everything you need is there. I have used it several times myself. Not sure about receiving them but you can definitely send them
