Agreed! "Standard" tips have been $40 - $100 for at least 20 years now. Basic economics say prices should have at least doubled, and maybe quadrupled in that amount of time. Is anyone here still earning the same amount as 20 years ago? Also, it used to be that the house kept the entry fee, and the provider kept the tip, but now some (all?) places are making the providers pay some of the tip as well.

To add insult to injury, a lot of guys try to book an hour and tip the same as a half. When I started out, the idea was always that minimum tip = the room rate. So, you spend $70 for an hour for the room, you better tip $70 for the service. MINIMUM. That is HE only. For FS, you probably don't double the standard $100, but $140-160 seems reasonable.

I don't want to pay more than I have to, but you can't really haggle over the price, and still expect A-level service. Some providers will try to get as much as they can, but if you put them at ease and set an expectation by making a fair offer up front, I find they are less likely to push back. (Exception: Blue Moon lately, were 2 out of 4 countered with a $120 offer after being shown $100. Fair enough. One was worth it, the other was not.).

I've always wanted to encounter a provider so hot, that when she asked for $120, I would reply, "Make it REALLY good, and I'll give you $200!" That goal has not been achieved.

Big Bravo to you Sixty for your comments! I've been blasting the same message for so long. All of us mongers who are wage slaves demand or expect or at least hope for our bosses to come with improvements to the compensation package year by year. If we're business owners we raise prices and look for new revenue streams and higher profit margins. But somehow, prostitutes are expected to impose price controls on themselves for the vital service they offer over DECADES! They are exempt from the prerogatives of a free economy. Not qualified to aspire to improved finances and quality of life. Supply and demand be damned.

We criticize Diva providers as feeling "entitled". But this is monger entitlement. "If I'm worth a shit I move ahead in the economy and I pay more each year for goods and services in every aspect of life, but dammit I expect those Ho's to NEVER act on their own aspirations to improve their lives and their family's lives in an insane cost of living location like SoCal. ".

Entitled mongers have loud voices on these sites but I'm actually gratified to see that most on this site come across as reasonable, generous and empathetic.

ALL FS places will sniff at 4 for HE. When the mamasan asks if you have been there before, or how you heard about them, it's not to see whether you might be a cop, as many think, it's to make sure you understand what you are getting, and how much you have to tip. Don't waste time going to an FS place looking for HE. It would be like if you got hired for a new job, and a week in, your employer told you they were going to pay less than half of your salary, because they only need your receptionist skills.

I can't answer your question about MSOG, but given that it takes place at BM, at least one shot I would assume was FS. (It's funny how we all call it MSOG, as if it's more than two shots. I guess TSOG isn't standard lingo.).

I was at BM on Balboa a couple of weeks ago and got a great provider. They still have enough variety that you can get what you want, especially if you are willing to spend a tad more. Yes, they tend to be a little older, but I've found it's much more GFE, which I prefer. I got a very affectionate attentive hour and MSOG for $1. 4.

If I'm looking for a 20-something hottie with attitude, I'll go somewhere else, wind up paying a lot more, and still be disappointed. BM is still my go-to place.

I was indeed referring to the BM on Balboa. Owned by same guy (couple?) who run the BM on Ventura Blvd in Tarzana.

Yes, There are many many reviews on the Balboa location, and they USED to be utterly amazing, Candy runs it related to owner, she used to shuttle between locations, shr herself was an amazing provider, low entry fee but they get you on everything else and make it known right away, no subtlety, no class.

Providers used to b mainly hot, now theyre Middle aged fatsos who seem to think that a HE is worth. 8.

Wow, that is a shame, and a fast downturn indeed. I was there four times in maybe three months, and only the last time did I encounter anything close to fat. Middle-aged doesn't bother me, because I'm an old dude myself.

I usually monger in the Valley (so much to choose from) but was in Hollywood recently and stopped at a place on Fairfax and Waring. 35/ hh 40/ hr. Did the half, will definitely do the full hour next time. Cute girl, late 20's early 30's, nice bod, good massage with thai stretching. Amazing teasing and solid HE. Haven't heard anything else being available (I didn't get the vibe it was, but I never ask anyway). Slight scent to the oil, don't know if a shower is available. Like I said, worth the trip over the hill, or if you're in town make time.

Wait a second, there are two Blue Moons: The one on Balboa has had mostly favorable reviews. One in Oxnard (Ventura County) has not. I think Candy is in Oxnard, but I assume the original poster is talking about Balboa, because he mentioned the $25 cover charge and RM doesn't even list a Candy at the Balboa location. It gets confusing when all of the street names are also names of cities!

To answer the original poster's question: As with any MP, YMMV. $25 is all you need to pay; in my experience you don't get anything more or better for paying for more time. In fact, the one time I did, I got shorted! It's likely you just got a bad slot in the rotation. If they are not busy, I've read elsewhere you can ask for a line up; if you are really early, they may offer you a line up without having to ask. Most of the providers there are acceptable, but I've seen a few in the hallways that I was glad I didn't get.

I wouldn't give up yet. BM Balboa has over 82 reviews. More than any other Van Nuys AMP.

This is one of the better known Thai spots in central L. A. Only problem is that it is tiny and fairly well subscribed, so if you don't call to make appointment you may get shut out or need to wait for an opening. You can bet that you won't get more than the basic HE here or at any other central LA Thai spot unless you find a provider without a green card who will date you with aspirations of marriage. And those extras will take place during your dates, not during a session in the store! BJs and FS are provided at Thai MPs in central LA with the same frequency that the Cleveland Browns win NFL games.
