Posts: 252The answer to all your questions is "Who Knows? Everyday that goes by makes you think it is over. If the city, county, and state really want these places to go away, they have a host of ways they could do it. All depends on how much time and resources they want to put to the task. Then again, they may re-open this week. But how many mongers are going to stick their neck out and walk in an ERS or CLV when they reopen? Take the risk of having your mugshot and name posted all over the internet? I know there is a lot of tough talk on this board, but really, do you want to be in that position?

When ERS re-opens for business, what if any changes do you foresee. Do you think ERS will re-open at the same location or a new location? How many massage attendants do you think will return? Do you think ERS will have to hire many new massage attendants if several do not return? Do you think there will be any increase (perhaps to account for less business) or decrease (perhaps to entice a new or leary cusomer base) in the prices? Finally, Do you think the service will be affected at all?

Many years ago I was there and foolishly used a credit card to pay. Not long after they were shut down by the city for a couple of weeks. I was worried that they could look at their records and see I was there and question me but nothing ever happened. I suppose if they got credit card records they could make life miserable for someone if they questioned the husband abut it in front of his wife but they really can't do more than that.

I read the article. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Again, the cops are taking the angle that they are stopping sex trafficking is slaves. Anyone meet any slaves while you were there? I didn't, but I am guilty all the same. The the police chief is actually bragging about the amount of manpower used. My favorite line in the article, "solicitation of a sex addict". I don't even know how that is done.

Posts: 625It shouldn't impact customers at all unless they were doing something stupid like selling drugs or guns there. So I wouldn't worry about it. Customers didn't do anything wrong. It sounds like they're going to go after the owners / managers, people who were involved in human trafficking (most likely AMP owners). The female reporter of the story must be reading this forum. It was interesting- she specifically mentions some of the things we said about how the state is wasting a lot of resources on this stupidity instead of going after real crime. They (News reporters) have never mentioned that aspect of it in the past.

What would be the impact of the raids on customers who've visited these establishments in the past?
This report mentions that over the next few months there'll be additional arrests based on the evidence collected during the raids.

Posts: 625Well if all of the massage places stay closed in Belvidere- there will be no need for a Belvidere section in this forum. While the town is more populated than I thought at 25,000- nothing else is going on there. No strip bars, night clubs, nada. One main street through the heart of town and that's it. Let's hope they reopen and soon.

Seems like the good people of Boone county are re-evaluating their position on a lot of things lately They voted down the wind farm. It made too much sense to find an alternative energy source. They stopped a railroad from going thru which probably would have created more jobs (Went to Rockford instead). And now closing 2 well-established businesses that paid taxes. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Stinky Not Liking Boone County Anymore.

Posts: 185ERS & CLV Not Open
I just drove by both places on my way home and they are not open, even though the recording at ERS makes it sound like it is open for business.

Just tried calling to make an appointment for tomorrow and still hear the recording. Any one has any updates if they're open or not?

The Geisha House is non-Asia. It has been around for 30 or 40 years. There is also a place called The Rising Sun in Madison that is also non-Asian and has been around for as long as the Geisha House. Check the Madison forum and also look up Geisha House in Madison on Google--they have a web site. You can find the addresses for both by doing a google search.

There used to be a lot of places in Madison years ago, but most were shut down. These two I guess were grandfathered and the law pretty much leaves them alone.

Posts: 413My understanding is that it is non Asian. Name would not make you think so, but the discussion of most of the girls in the Madison forums makes it sound non Asian. Someone also mentioned the Lingerie shops in Rockford. They are definitely non Asian but no massage at all. They have oversize chairs and small couches and half doors / curtains, so no room for a massage, but most anything else you want. Read about them in the Rockford forums.
