Everything about this hobby in Canada is arguably better than in the US, at least in my experience. I want to move to Toronto if I can ever find a good job for my career. I didn't realize how bad our scene was until I tried the one out in Philly. There is this place in Philly (or was) that I can only describe as like a frat house looking building. Philly is great for AMPs and there are locations everywhere. I think what makes it work so well is that every road is like a narrow side street and the buildings look like small 2 story homes. Yes, unfortunately you are correct but I will still continue to walk out and spend my money elsewhere especially when the advertising is so blatantly false. Four weeks ago I walked out of the place in Elmhurst and two weeks ago cut short a massage in Villa Park leaving only small tip. In both places the owners were present and were not happy but I didn't care. Did they get the message? I hope so. Will it help? I don't know but it's what I do and will continue to do regardless of whether anyone thinks it helps or not. I've learned to do the same. A good way to not be a jerk about it is to simply say you were passing by and wanted to know what the charge was. Ask for a business card. If you've already paid, say you just got an emergency call / text and need to bail.
