Something is wrong with your phone taxi, hardware. Cause since thee furst Galaxy phone to have a led light, which is thee Galaxy 2 released 2011 has the auto on or manual on light for night time photo or video capture. Maybe try a third party video recording app and just google best video record apps. I like them all but never use the stock app that came installed with the phone, third party apps have all kinds of extra features.

I went thru all my settings and finally figured it out. Now a light comes on for night time videos.

I don't go hunting to much at night but now I'm ready if I do.
