Here's my 2 cents. Get rid of the Flash Drive. Its very risky if your SO gets to it. Anything that you have on the Flash Drive you can easily store, retrieve from the cloud. Many options from Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, etc. Likewise, do not store any data on the burner phone. Just save what you need to the cloud and delete it on the physical phone. That way, even if found, there won't be any incrementing evidence. It does help to have a smartphone for the burner so you can easily access data to and from the Cloud. If you want to keep the costs low you can get a used smartphone for less than 100 bucks on eBay or amazon. You don't really need to buy a data plan if you can access internet over wifi.

And remember you can only get an HSV test privately (meaning paid clinic). Not at most free clinics as they do not test for it unless there are symptoms including at PP. Couple alternatives. Try using a rental car. Using Priceline I've been able to get rental cars as cheap as $10 per day. But again, just so you're aware, with Priceline you'll be using a credit card trail.
