I am not the person who gave that name to the two areas, but I think I understand the meaning. The name is derived from the intersection of two streets (four corners). Both quadrants are on the Trail, about two and a half miles apart. The new quadrant is north of the old quadrant.

I will try and take the lead on this question. The legendary SFJ renamed certain parts of the South Trail a long time ago. I talk in "Quadrant Language" in mostly all of my posts for pickups or drop offs. Most regular Paradise Trail Mongers understand this language perfectly. It is not meant to confuse anyone.
