Here's my take on reaching an agreement of price with a SW. I ALWAYS make her say a number first, and if that number is within the my acceptable range I say OK. Now, if her number is out of my acceptable range I counter ONE time only, and if she doesn't accept I move on to the next SW, without arguing. I've found that if the SW doesn't accept my ONE time counteroffer, most likely she will give bad service. If a SW insists on a number out of my GO range and doesn't come down, I will NEVER stop for her again. This MO works for me at least 90% of the time, and there you have it. Trailhunter.
