The California supreme court overturned vehicle confiscation laws in California laws awhile back (http://www.latimes.com/local/califor...227-story.html). LE can still impound your car if you are arrested until you are released on bail. There is another provision in the law that allows them to suspend driving a driving privileges days if some is convicted of prostitution. This rarely used however. One way to avoid these bogus loitering charges is to simply tell the cop that you were giving the girl a ride if you are stopped. There is case law that allows someone to give a girl a ride regardless of whether she is a SW or not.
