This whole thread on the PayPal deal has been real interesting to follow. It reminded me of a similar situation I had in May.

I had responded by email to a CL ad for a massage. The provider was supposedly in Midtown and responded fairly promptly. She sent me the following message with a picture (attached):

"Hi, I am available now. I host at my apartment in west midtown. I specialize in deep tissue massages. $80 for 30 minutes, $140 an hour. I prefer that people prepay through paypal that way I. Know that people are serious about coming. Paypal is secure and will refund you your money immediately if you file a claim dispute. Pic attached".

I email back and ask if she is offering HE and nude service. She sends back saying yes and gives me her PayPal info. I tell her I will pay cash when I arrive. She comes back and says she needs the money now as she has to pay her phone bill immediately. I said I will come within the hour and bring cash. Not good enough she says. Send through PayPal and she will give FS when I arrive. So then I tell her I don't have enough in my PayPal account (wink) so she says just use another card. At this point there have been 19 back and forth emails. Anybody see any red flags yet? LOL. I tell her to forget it. The next email states it doesn't matter because her friend who owns an NFL franchise (team name withheld by me) has just sent her $500. Amazing some of the stories they come up with.

In October I responded to a similar ad only to realize it is the same person. There were several post on either here or CL stating it was a total scam. Well I had already figured that out.

We all know what we are getting into with these providers so there is no way I am sending money before I show up. I posted this just to let everyone know what can go on out there and I thought it was really kind of humorous.
