Thought I'd throw this out there & see how it pans out.

Been here a while, not as long as some nor when the site first started.
When I first joined the site there was very little fighting.
As time wore on more & more arguing & fighting broke out to the point where it was difficult to find a review, good or bad, it just sucked.

I stumbled across the The Octagon in the Cincinnati forums & thought in the larger scheme of things throughout our history how man does not get along with his fellow man & how heinous we are towards one another, I felt (& still do) that such a forum could be used to stop the BS on the review forums & compartmentalize it to one location, ergo Massholes!

A side benefit of this is there is now a system setup & in place to deal with that of which you are complaining of.

Boston has a zero tolerance douchebaggery policy on the review threads, I will scrupulously follow our anti-flaming policy on ALL review threads in this city when the posts are reported.A2.

If you feel there is a violation on a review forum feel free to report it.

As for complaning about members bashing new members on their posts or questions in Massholes, feel free to whine biatch & complain about it, matter of fact I welcome it, it's what this forum was made for.

This thread was designed specifically (and disclosed as such) as a place for the members to bash each other, it's what it's forA2.

To tell you the truth I see more new members bashing each other on the reviews forums then seniors, seniors know better, they bring it here to Massholes were it belongs.
If you don't like anyone bashing another for whatever reason complain away, it won't change anything, but hey knock yourself out trying, I'd suggest to keep it to Massholes, but that's always your choice.

Granite: no we all can't get along & yeah I guess I really do give a shit, don't want to see it revert back to the way it was before Massholes.

Nrlmus: According to A2 memership is up & the forums are better & I for one agree.

With the exception of a couple fucking idiots, you will notice the review threads are now full of either info, or relevant commentary to the info posted.A2.

There are plenty of new members, some stay around, some leave & some get banned.
As for those that don't post reviews or are just lurkers, all I can say is I don't miss what I don't know.

For the record when I want to relax I grab a brew, a girl & have her suck me off while watching a football game, it's a B&B a beer & a blowjob, does wonders for ones disposition!
You should try it as there's a lot better options than coming here to relax & that's for dammmn sure.

My take is that a guy has to find this site. Browse the forums. Read some of the reviews. Join the site. Register his username. Find the right forum, State, City. Then proceed to ask questions. Is that just lazy or presumptuous? I guess I should just give that fellow my ATF and FS AMP address and telephone number?

I'm quite certain that we are all grow men here that understand it is ball busting the new guy who asks multiple questions with his first post or two. No one is trying to scare anyone off. All that person has to do to be trusted is post a couple of reviews. Then all is good. Either that or just post obvious commentary or complaints to get senior status.

Your views remind me of the new "Everybody Gets A Trophy" regimen. For years on here newbies have been encouraged to RTTF and it never seemed to be a problem. They put on their big boy pants and did just that. I think you guys are being a bit overdramatic here. As far as I can see there's information being shared on all the boards. You're acting like the whole forum has completely dried up. And what exactly is your definition of a newbie? Old members under new screen name perhaps? All I know that this type of approach cuts down on our membership, that's all. I know that for a fact because I'm in touch with couple of pretty active 1 posters who decided not to post on the open forum after their first post was rebuffed since it came in a form of a question. From time to time I get good tips from one of them, none of which ever come from the backpage. Whose loss it is that this guy decided not to post? The guy's who told him to wright a review. Especially since most of what this one time poster fed me so far is totally up that guy's taste.

I'm sure many of them after receiving such cold showers remain lurkers and share only via PM and only with those hobbyists that they believe are not assholes.

Fight back and soldier on is simply a phrase. Just because I had to stick up for myself here doesn't mean it hasn't been fun. The hobby has been and continues to be a blast for me.

My initiation here included being attacked and chided and I stood up to several senior members trying to poke holes in my posts / reviews back when my post count was in single digits. Truth be told it actually helped embolden me and grow here. Now not every member will handle things the same but that doesn't mean they should all be coddled either. There are always going to be a mix of quality posters and those who don't contribute much.


As I previously stated I have no problem with someone's first post being a question or looking for advice. But I have no problem calling out the obvious leeches as well as the illustrious color commentators. One can always make the argument that we all could miss a diamond in the rough because a newbie got scared off.

There will always be members who are shy about posting and those that prefer back channels. Let's face it we all still have a plethora of girls available at any given moment. The only issue I have is do I have enough money to see them all. And of course the answer to that is no.
