OK, New to this whole topic. I have used Google voice in the past, but Google is stopping the quick number changes.

What is the best way and place to get purly pre-paid cell phones that do not require any credit card or credit check? Meaning no tractability financially!

Data would be nice, so I can use my special email address, but its not necessary.

I considered that but my number is out of state and not anything close to any MA area code. Also I tried search for each segment of my number and didn't find anything. Like first I tried just the area code, then the middle three digits then the last four. So if even just the last four of my number were the same as a provider and he somehow transposed 617 into 828 for the area code I still should have found it, unless as you say it was deleted shortly. But there are many sites that log all images and numbers on back page and didn't find anything even through google.

I have been testing out an app on mu iPhone (it also works for android).

This week I downloaded an app called "Burner".

Short story is the app temporarily creates a "burner number" so when you dial through the app the caller I'd on the other end sees this created caller I'd number.

You also receive the return calls or text on you phone through the app. Offers anonymity.

I plan to use this as a back up to my traditional burner phone.

I am not doing a great job explaining the app but I find this very useful, also free. If you google it you will see the value.
