Was reading today's Star Advertiser (9/22) when an acquaintance picked up the front-page section and said the homeless lady on the cover ("Rebecca") was absolutely a SW. He supposedly saw her actively engaging in Kakaako (where he delivers), off the Queen / Merchant corridors, and talked to her during his runs. He said she was sane with sense of humor and took care of herself.

The C&C apparently purged the Kakaako homeless encampment this week. Just curious if any of the senior mongers have seen / sampled before.

Ran into Rebecca & I don't think she's a SW. She's built like a model, long, skinny, nice blue eyes and face. But she rambles and rambles. Ya she has a sense of humor, and seems kind of intelligent, but once you talk to her, she rambles and keeps going like borderline mental health issues. If anyone knows any different, let a brotha know, but there was no hint of service at all.

It's another case of wasted taxpayer's money in the City's fiasico attempt to clear out the homeless camps. They will just move elsewhere until the problem of homeless is resolved through better planning. Being homeless is not what anyone wants to be and unless you've actually experience the demise of being homeless you have no idea what's its like being on the other end of this unfortunate situation.

Just kicking them out of a location does not solve, but actually creates more problems since their access to resources that help the homeless are basically located in the downtown area, where will they go next, down to Waiane away from the tourists? Maybe Kirk Cardwell and his rich corrupt cronies should have their homes foreclosed and thrown out on the street to experience true homelessness and find solutions to this problem instead of moving it else where to be a problem for someone else to solve?

There was one street left with homeless tent city and all the rest is cleared up. Only Ohe st from Ilalo to Olomehani on Daimond Head side of children's museum. If visit children's museum, it's a reality check to see this that life is not all rainbows & unicorns. Crazy stuff happens and people don't plan for it that way.

Kakaako tent city is 90% cleaned up. Few days ago tent I saw Rebeca around was there but others around were gone. Today it was gone & most of the tent city is gone too. Any news on Rebecca is much appreciated.
