To my mind the best option is to simply call your mobile provider and ask them to unlock the phone. Tell them that you will be traveling overseas for a few weeks and want to take your phone with you to call home, but don't want to buy a new phone for use while traveling: You simply want to change SIMs. I've done that for four or five phones, until I bought my current unlocked iPhone. Then load an application which spoofs or modifies the GPS coordinates and would otherwise require you to jailbreak your phone, since now it is an unlocked phone.

Sorry not trying to clutter up the board with BS techie information, but I don't see how unlocking your phone really helps in this scenario? All that does is unlock all the cellular bands on your device so you can jump from carrier to carrier without hassle. Unless you know something else?

From what I have seen those spoofing apps generally spoof other apps on your phone, but some apps are more sophisticated and will not recognize the fake location (such as Icloud's find my iPhone.) Using the jailbreak method rather than simply getting a spoofing app off the app store may spoof more apps but there not 100% reliable. Those spoofing apps are generally used by people who want to use region locked apps (such as Netflix) or maybe fake there friends out on FB or whatever. It'll trick those type of apps but the "sophisticated apps" receive constant updates which will often break the spoofing apps ability to do its job. Even if it does work I wouldn't trust it for long. Are you using one that has successfully and reliably worked?

This I agree with and is probably one of the few ways SIM-based tracking can be stopped. Using the SIM in GSM and UMTS handsets, it is possible to obtain raw radio measurements from the handset. Available measurements include the serving Cell I'd, round-trip time, and signal strength. This is how officer Snotdrizzle or the GOV can track any of us even with dumb phones. You have to be a god like hacker to really fake SIM based tracking. Moreover, its not cheap to do that. You have to be conspiring something big to be tracked that way, not simply prowling, or you have to be someone popular or be the president if it were like that.

Also your SIP-Phone idea is good but can also be trackable. You have to connect to wifi for it to work. Connecting to wifi gives away your location because most of these modern day devices have GPS's built into them (especially Androids.) I don't think the iPod has a GPS built into it like the iPhone but its still trackable through iCloud and what not. If you turn off all location services GPS and everything to use the SIP-Phone that might work, but using it at public hotspots like Starbucks isn't the most discreet either. Also newer portable hotspots have GPS built into them as well nowadays so be careful with that.

Google (and Apple) scare me with what they can do with our info (especially with google's constantly improving data mining algorithms.) I'd stay away from google voice, but I'm a paranoid nerd. This comes back to that google probably could care less people are using there services for prowling.

Not trying to argue or anything but I know computers and networking pretty well. You can google or use wikipedia to search and see what I said. It ain't BS.

Any update on Tracey's return? I had a very positive encounter with her a little over a year ago when I was in town on a business trip. Now I am back in town again and no longer can find her advertisement. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

2. get a Walmart prepaid phone (aka 'monger phone') to use for the hobby and use it ONLY for the hobby.

Another option is to get a Session Initiation Protocol-based (SIP) phone number and run a SIP-Phone application on an iPod or Android. The downside is one needs an active Internet connection to use the phone application, since the SIP app registers to a SIP server at an Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP). That means having to be at a Starbucks or other hot-spot place to receive or make a call or getting a separate MyFi portable hot-spot. Using a pre-paid credit card to pay for these keeps them below the radar and provides complete portability, including the ability to surf the 'Net from anywhere one has 3 G, 4 G, or LTE service. The downside is one typically has to get the MyFi from one of the major carriers, which may entail a physical billing address.

There's also the Google Voice option, but that either requires putting the SIM back into the iPhone and turning the phone on or using Google Voice in lieu of an ITSP. The upside is there is no charge for Google Voice. The downside is that--from what I'm seeing--more and more providers are asking for a non-Google Voice number.

The bigger question is what is your friend's exposure if his wife catches him mongering? Is he already in the penalty box? Does she have the money and made him sign a pre-nup? Or does he have the money and did not make her sign a pre-nup?

But she needed to get the pill. And that's where things went downhill. Spidey senses still sound asleep.

She gave a guy who came to the room some money, then we waited for her delivery, and waited, and waited. She eventually said she'd be right back but was going to go look for the guy. Several minutes later the guy comes back and asks if there's another girl in the room--he's looking for his girlfriend who rooms with "Mary. " Nope. We hang out for a while. OK, so I have NO Spidey senses, do I?

I bail, eventually Mary tells me the guy she gave the money for her drugs to took off, but she knows where he lives so she's going to get a friend to take her over there. And you can imagine the fiction she spun from there.

Hey guys I have a question and I know there are some crafty guys in this forum a friend of mine who mongers wife got him on lock down with his iPhone the newer version. She has got all the location settings up and running so he cannot turn them off. So he ask me for any ideas and I am drawing a blank. She is tracking his phone to where he goes and also on his iCloud account. He loves mongering so the question is there anyway to fool his phone to at times give out false GPS coordinates? Got in contact with Katie a couple of days a go. The only picture that is her is the face. And it is before drugs started really taking a toll on her body. During my nightmare with her. I go to the apartment and ask if the pictures are real. She lies and says yes. She tells me I have to do all the work. She asks for money I ask to see the goods. She shows me the top area and I almost lost my lunch. She looks like an old hairless cat with skin flopping everywhere. I immediately leave and she gets nothing. Stay away it's not worth it. Baby damage is not the word for this methhead.

Saw Kaylee a few weeks ago. She is a little young and inexperienced, but overall it was a great time. The pics are definitely her. Very pretty face with cute little dimples. Easy to talk to. Didn't have the problems reaching her that you had, but she was a little chatty in her texts. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Awesome, that's good to know! I'll give her another try when I can. As I said she stated "everything was covered" did this me CBJ, or does she offer BBJ? I got the feeling she meant FS was covered, but wasn't going to directly ask over the phone.
