What is the best way to get a burner phone? Prepaid from Wal-Mart? Whate best deal for that? I'm thinking just voice and text right? Thanks Hammer.

I've got a cheap prepaid flip phone. Service is about $100 per year for limited text and voice.

Walmart, Walgreens, etc are fine. Pay with cash and buy your refill cards with cash. Register it with a fake name.

Flip phones are horrible for texting but the battery life is phenomenal. You don't want to leave a mystery smart phone plugged in all the time, do you?

I use a somewhat obscure European email service for hobby activity. They have a PIN protected app that I run on my main phone.

I'm not sure I would trust an app on my regular phone. The only really safe thing is hardware separation. Buy a separate phone.

Yep. It might sound like paranoia, but it's just proper precautions.

If you want paranoid, I keep my burner in a faraday bag when I'm not using it.

If somebody is going to all the trouble to track my movements, I figure it will take more than a Faraday bag to be safe. And I don't have any sensitive data on my burner phone that would be worth hacking. I just don't want it to ring or for texts to be coming through when my wife is around, LOL. Keeping it turned off and hidden away serves that purpose just fine.

I agree that a separate phone is safer than an app. In addition to the app I have "safe" email addresses. You need those when you register the app. I also use a VPN service on my phone so no one can track me by IP or MAC. That's multiple layers of security. It's pretty good. But still, a separate hardware device and plan would be safer.

I use a textnow on my tablet along with several different email addresses and a throw away smart phone set up to erase if too many failed attempts to open. I mentioned this a few weeks ago and several mangers blasted me for spending the extra cash. Glad to see seniors supporting the throw and go logic.

I have to save funds to play but would feel real stupid if I got caught due to being too cheap.

The ones I use the most NOW are FreeTone, TextNow, and Talkatone. None of these free apps let you send or receive picture messages which can be a bummer.

I am going to upgrade to another app very soon. I tried these free ones and they are very useful but I'm wiling to pay the $2/ month - $10/ month that some of the pay as you go apps ask. I'll post back when I pick a favorite paid app. I tried BURNER and it is just too expensive to use frequently. It's good if you only use it very rarely.

Hey guys, I just met with piper / phoebe Lynn and all is well on the homefront. She definitely gets better every time I see her. We had a nice chat afterwards, and she seems to be doing really well and there wasn't any hint of drama either. She is turning into a very professional young lady, and I hope that she was around for a while. I am happy to say that she seems to be really trying to be more careful with who she sees, as well.

She told me that she isn't going to be posting when and where she will be, anymore. Too many creeps messing with her it sounds like she's going to be relying on her existing clients for a while, which shouldn't be a problem for her. It does mean that you're going to have to be willing to get periodic texts from her, however. She does seem to be a very sweet girl that has had a tough go, and has been taken advantage of a bit. She's learning to be more cautious, hopefully. I hope she sticks around, because each time gets better and better.

Surely no guys are using their real phone numbers for contacting these lovely ladies, ARE YOU? There are over a dozen apps on the AppStore that let you get a fake phone number and call / text from that number instead. That way no one ever has your real number. Let's not make it too easy for the LEO's.

I delete my fake phone number and get a new one frequently. We need to protect ourselves out there. I've always been concerned that LEO would confiscate a providers phone and then have my number.

Most of these girls have smart phones which sync with something. If her phone got stolen, I bet it was a smart phone. No one steals dumb phones anymore.

A question for you though, are you not using a burner phone? If you're not that's on you, not the provider.

Some of the questions on here though you guys have never used a smartphone before, Android phones store their contacts using a gmail account or phone service provider apple also does the same you get a new phone put in your email and you got all your contacts back.

I definitely have a "plan" for phones and email accounts that protects my friends. And an uncrackable lock on my phone.
